Chana Shagalow

Chana Shagalow is passionate about helping families navigate the ups and downs of raising children with identified needs throughout their life. Bringing 35 years of educational leadership and special education experience to her work, her expertise is unparalleled. Chana works directly with parents to help them gain an understanding of assessments, navigating school systems, developing appropriate interventions and mainstream supports, and guiding parents in practical parenting. Chana approaches her work from a place of compassion and personal experience.
Chana holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St Thomas and has completed coursework towards her Educational Doctorate at St Mary’s University. She is in her 25th year as the Executive Director of Sha’arim + Gateways, an organization devoted to supporting individuals with disabilities.
